The Sauna Heater –
Heart and Soul of Every Sauna

The sauna heater determines the character of the entire experience: how quickly the warmth rises, how evenly the heat is distributed, and how long the pleasant temperature is maintained. A high-quality heater creates that unique, deep and gentle sauna climate in which body and mind come fully to rest. It is far more than just a heat source – it is the pulse that brings your sauna to life.

What types of sauna heaters are there?

There are various sauna heaters that differ significantly from one another in terms of design, space requirements, and heat distribution. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages and is available as both a Finnish and a bio-sauna heater.

The wall-mounted heater is attached directly to the sauna wall to save space. It is excellently suited for small to medium-sized saunas and creates more freedom of movement in the room thanks to its wall-mounted design. A popular solution for modern, design-oriented home saunas.

Advantages

  • Very space-saving
  • More free floor space
  • Easy installation
  • Modern, unobtrusive design

Disadvantages

  • Wall must be load-bearing
  • Limited stone volume
  • Heat is somewhat concentrated near the wall

The classic floor-standing heater stands freely in the sauna room and ensures particularly even and intensive heat distribution. Thanks to its high stone volume, it retains heat for a long time and creates the authentic Finnish sauna climate. Ideal for everyone who values traditional sauna quality.

Advantages

  • Optimal stone volume
  • Even heat distribution
  • Durable & robust
  • Authentic Finnish sauna feeling

Disadvantages

  • Takes up floor space
  • Visually dominates the room
  • Less suitable for very small saunas

The Tower Heater stands out with its slim, tower-like shape and modern design. Despite its small footprint, it offers a large stone volume and rapid, even heating. A stylish eye-catcher in any design-conscious sauna.

Advantages

  • Extremely space-saving
  • Modern, elegant design
  • Large stone volume with a small footprint
  • High heat storage capacity

Disadvantages

  • Stones are more difficult to fill
  • Long heat-up time
  • Very slow when regulating the temperature
  • Occasional issues with heat distribution

The under-bench or hidden heater is integrated completely out of sight under the seating bench or within the rear wall. This allows you to gain maximum seating area and a particularly clean, calm sauna design. Perfect for small saunas and minimalist interiors.

Advantages

  • Maximum space gain
  • More seating positions possible
  • Very discreet, clean design
  • Ideal for small and high-design saunas

Disadvantages

  • High acquisition costs
  • More difficult access for maintenance
  • Infusions (Aufguss) only possible via a hatch/funnel

INFRARED IN THE SAUNA

Infrared emitters are an excellent addition to modern saunas. Unlike classic heaters, they do not heat the air but radiate heat directly and deeply into your body. This gentle infrared radiation penetrates into the muscles and connective tissue, promotes blood circulation, relieves tension, and supports detoxification—all at significantly more comfortable temperatures between 30°C and 40°C.

We integrate these high-quality emitters discreetly and invisibly into the benches or the sauna walls. This provides you with targeted warmth exactly where you want to feel it, without compromising the harmonious sauna design. A true plus for deep well-being and pure relaxation.
